Whenever I find something interesting, it isn’t because it’s something I find useful to just add to my memory, like placing another book on a shelf. Rather, it’s interesting because it shakes up the concepts in my memory, making new connections and sometimes breaking old ones.
For me, this is a highly imaginative experience to navigate the often absurd and sometimes outright ineffable world we inhabit, for which I have coined the term “Alicing in Wonderland” - this is not the same as going down a rabbit hole. I do explore rabbit holes, but it’s more about building connections, references, signposts, etc, to other rabbit holes than going deeply into a particular hole.
